Catch the defects your inspectors are too tired to see.

We help manufacturers automate visual quality checks, starting with a fixed-scope pilot on one line and one defect class, built on images of your parts and reviewed by your own quality people. If a camera can’t do the job on your parts, you find that out at a free walkthrough, not after a capital project.

Based locally. We come to your plant in person.

The problem

100% visual inspection doesn’t scale past a human shift.

Manual inspection is a fatigue job: the same part, hundreds of times an hour, and the escape rate climbs through second shift. Every escape that reaches your customer turns into sorts, chargebacks, and containment paperwork. And the usual fix is adding another inspector you already can’t hire.

How a pilot works

Small, fixed, and on your parts.

01

Walk the line

We visit your plant, look at the inspection step you want to automate, and tell you straight whether a camera can catch what your inspectors catch. No charge for the visit.

02

Fixed scope, in writing

One line, one defect class, a fixed price, and a defined finish line, so the pilot cannot quietly grow into an open-ended software project.

03

Build and prove it

We collect images from your parts, train a detection model on them, and put it in front of your own quality people to confirm or overrule. Existing cameras work; if you need them, we spec what to buy. We do not sell hardware.

04

You decide

At the end you see exactly what the system caught and missed on your parts. Keep it running, expand to the next line, or stop. The labeled images and the trained model are yours either way.

What you get

A system your quality team controls.

One defect class, done well

Scratches, paint defects, missing components, weld flaws. Pick the escape that costs you the most, and we scope the pilot to exactly that.

Your inspectors stay in charge

The model flags suspect parts; your quality people confirm or overrule on a screen. Every correction they make teaches the next version of the model.

Runs inside your plant

The whole system can run on a computer in your building, with no cloud connection required. Your images never leave the plant.

A straight feasibility answer

Some defects are not ready for a camera yet. If yours is one of them, we tell you at the walkthrough, before you have spent anything.

This is not a certified or validated system, and it does not replace your quality process: it sits inside it, flagging parts for the people who already make the call. We’ll go through the specifics with your quality team at the walkthrough.

Why us

We build inspection workflows for fields where misses are expensive.

DataTorch is the software company behind this service. A chromosome imaging lab scores its production assays on our platform and is training models from that review work, and a national industrial-property office runs its document review on it. The workflow is the same one we bring to your line: a model takes the first look, your experts make the call, and every call they make sharpens the model.

And because those customers can’t let their data leave the building either, the whole system installs on your hardware with no outside connection, not as a special request, but as the way it’s built.

Talk to a person

Fifteen minutes and a photo of the defect is enough to start.

Tell us what escapes, and we’ll tell you honestly whether a camera can catch it. Email michael@datatorch.io or use the button below. You’ll get Michael, not a sales sequence.
